A Hot Spot Like You've Never Imagined

  • The top of this pole is outfitted with pivoting solar panels that follow the sun to ensure maximum charging in the day time. During the summer months the HotSpot will be in a hibernation like state collecting energy in its underground (Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide) battery.

  • The twin halos provide ample heat that increase matchingly as the weather drops. A HotSpot heating radius is 40 to 50 feet, giving enough room to fit many people who may be out that night. Its bottom is lined with chairs for people to take in the heat more comfortably. The city that the HotSpot is in along with our organization will also collect donated benches to place around the pole.

  • The HotSpot's screen towards the bottom shows time, date, and, ironically, the wifi code this device offers. Wifi is very important for those in need. While our less fortunate may not have phone service, wifi will still give them the option of calls, texts, and looking at news reports for upcoming weather.

  • The solar panels are 6 feet by 3 feet. With the pole being 23 feet in all with panel included.

MISSION

If you've ever been out in the cold and then felt the warm embrace of a heated indoor area, you can only imagine the pain homeless people must feel knowing they have no warm place to escape the weather. Our mission is to make sure our brothers and sisters in the streets have one of the most basic necessities of warmth.
